FAMILY SUPPORT & PARENTING PROGRAMS

Family framework
Independent, strengths-based family support focused on:
- Increasing parenting capacity and child safety
- Navigating the child protection system
- Building safe routines and support networks
- Family preservation and reunification
- Advocacy
We work in a culturally safe, non-judgemental way that centres the family’s strengths and goals.

Parenting with PBs
Protective Behaviours for parents and carers. Practical strategies that help families create safer, more connected homes and support children to understand their right to feel safe.

Circle of Security
Relationship-based programs that help parents, carers and educators understand children’s emotional needs and build secure connections. Available as Parenting and Classroom versions, both in-person and online.

Edu-therapy
Specialist outreach support for children and young people (aged 3–18) who are at risk of, or have experienced, child sexual abuse, or who are displaying harmful sexual behaviours.
We use a strengths-based, trauma-informed “edu-therapy” approach that blends education and therapeutic support. Sessions are delivered where the child feels safest — at home, school or in a trusted community setting. Caregivers are included in the initial session.
The program focuses on Protective Behaviours themes, safety networks, body ownership, public/private, safe and unsafe touch, and rebuilding agency and power.
This is a fee-paying service. Referrals are welcome from agencies, schools and families.

At PB West we believe the only workable arrangement is one where both the participant and the support worker feel safe, happy and fully consent to working together. We take time to understand what people need and want, then help them find the right supports while remaining firmly in control of their choices.

Respectful, practical support that prioritises dignity, safety and self-determination for older people.
